We love decorating our home for the holidays and every year I think I find more ways to add new decorations in! Some of our favorite things to decorate with are the things we personally make by hand. This Dollar Tree Christmas Craft is no exception! This not only makes a great decoration, but it’s also so much fun for the kids to make!

Most of us have a dollar store of some type or another near us. Whether you stop by frequently or not, I have always found these to be a goldmine when it comes to home décor and DIY projects or even just little crafts with kids.

Dollar Tree Christmas Crafts

If you use just a little bit of imagination and creativity, you can come up with some incredible ideas out of basic things sold for only $1! This beautiful Dollar Tree Christmas Craft is not going to look like a dollar store item by the time you are finished!

Supplies for your Dollar Tree Christmas Craft
1. Cone shaped floral foam (6.9″ x 2.9″) find it in the floral crafts aisle
2. 9 ft Green mesh ribbon (2.5″ x 108″)
3. Red Garland
4. Set of red LED lights
5. 2 AA batteries (for the lights)
6. Star Ornaments (the packs at dollar tree come with 6, but you only will use 1)
7. Little gold jingle bells
8. A hot glue gun
9. Hot glue sticks

Dollar Tree Christmas Craft Directions:
Carefully start gluing the green mesh ribbon around the cone, starting from the top.
Overlap the ribbon in different places as you go, making sure to make the cone appear well covered.
Save a small piece of the green mesh for the top of the tree.

Next, glue the red garland around the tree starting at the top.
Continue to wrap the garland around the tree, moving downward on an angle to the bottom.
Place the AA batteries in the compartment for the LED lights.
Glue the lights around the tree in the same method that you did with the garland.
Glue the jingle bells in various places around the tree, as ornaments would be hung.
Place the remaining piece of green mesh over the top of the tree and secure with hot glue.

Pull the hook out of one of the star ornaments and discard it.
Glue your star ornament to the top of the tree.
Flip on the lights and you’ve got a beautiful Dollar Tree Christmas Craft!
