A woman took to Reddit’s ‘Petty Revenge’ forum to call out her sister-in-law (SIL) for insulting her children and revealing all of her lies. The original poster (OP) gives readers a picture of her SIL by explaining she always has to be better than everyone else and makes out her kids are more intelligent, kinder, better, etc., than all other kids.

The bragging SIL is an issue for the OP, mainly when the OP and her husband had twins. After the birth of the twins, the SIL became extra competitive and bragged non-stop about her better life.
Things became pretty petty by all accounts, with the OP saying, “One of my girls rolled over at four months. Her son had rolled over when he was just a week old.“ You get the picture. In one eye-watering move, the SIL changed her children’s birth weight papers to outdo the OP.
While the annoying lies could be tolerated to some extent, things changed for the OP when the SIL went on to insinuate that her kids had something wrong with them, implying that they did not meet their milestones and becoming obsessed with one of the twins’ speeches.
Not content with just airing her feeling to family members, the SIL called a friend in the Early Intervention team and asked them to call the OP’s child as she was concerned. This was a step too far for the OP and her husband, as it would be for most people, we think.
During a family dinner with the children in another room, the OP gave her SIL a gift of a White Claw Book of World Records.’ The laminated nook showcased all of the ‘supposed’ milestones of her SIL’s children with photos of the world record holders for each category.
After flipping through a few pages, the joke clicked with the SIL, and she took off calling the OP an a**hole. Luckily, the SIL’s husband found it funny and called out his sister for lying.
The SIL was, naturally, embarrassed and stormed off, texting later to say how humiliated she was and that if she did not want her help with the twins, she would stop! The OP finished the post by claiming the win and contacting Reddit readers to join in with her joke.
Many people showed concern for the children of the SIL, with one person saying, “In all seriousness, this is some genuinely troubling behavior on the part of the SIL, and it sounds like it might be impacting her son’s development.”
Another felt that the woman was “This woman is deeply, deeply insecure.” The insecurity seems apparent as the SIL constantly needs to elevate her children’s status, and we wonder what she thinks about them. However, it does seem that some worries are hidden in her behavior.
While some people looked at the serious side of the post, many others imply laughed along with the OP’s post, exclaiming, “White claw book of world records, ha ha ha” Another said, “Seriously, this is one of the funniest things I’ve ever read. Millions dream of busting.”
It was also noted how much the SIL’s husband joined in with the calling out of lies. One person said, “OMG!! This is epic! The fact her husband cracked up makes it even better. Can we be friends?” While it seems that the SIL has promised to stay out of the OP’s business, something tells us that it may be more complicated than she thinks!
