It came after she was not listed in their compilation of the “200 Greatest Singers of All Time”.
It is reported that close to 15 Celine fans traveled to New York City from Montreal to express their outrage.
One fan told Variety that the magazine “made a big mistake forgetting her name,” which led them to protest “in the name of Celine.”
The fans congregated outside Rolling Stone and played fan-favorite “That’s the Way It Is” as they chanted “justice for Celine.
Once fan Charles Lemay said “In Quebec, it’s nonsense that she’s not on the list. She’s been in all our lives since the beginning.”
While Celine’s fans may be hurt by the Rolling Stone snub, it is clear that their heart will go on and defend their idol to the max.
