Reddit’s Pro Revenge fans delighted in commenting on a post on a woman who told the story of getting revenge on a family who ran a “reign of terror” in his quiet neighborhood.

It Used to be a Lovely Neighborhood
The poster explained that she and his family have lived in the neighborhood for over 20 years, and it had been “wonderful” until a new family moved in that “suck.”
The family in question was labeled noisy and dirty for actions such as throwing dog poo in their neighbor’s gardens, having loud parties, stealing neighbors’ newspapers, and having dogs that bark constantly.
The Neighbor’s Parking is The Main Issue
The deal breaker for the original poster (OP) and her neighbors is the constant deliberate parking all over the street, often blocking neighbors and leaving their five cars in front of someone else’s house for weeks.
The OP points out that they have tried to reason with them and have even invited them over for dinner in a bid to make their relationship better, but the poor behavior continued.
As parking is scarce in the neighborhood, the OP’s husband approached a friend who tows trucks to see if he had advice, and the neighbors also sought advice from a local police officer. The call to the police/city led to yellow lines being painted to outline parking for every house, which was some relief.
Party Crasher
That relief did not last long as the problem neighbors began parking over them. Having enough, the OP and her husband decided to take devious action and hatched a plan.
With the help of the city office and the tow truck man, they arranged for over 15 cars parked by guests of the problem house as they were throwing a party. With many neighbors unable to get out of their homes, the OP believed they asked their party guests to park all over the street to annoy the neighbors deliberately.
The plan was to get their tow trucker friend to remove the illegally parked cars.
Underage Party Goers
Not content with just having the partygoer’s cars towed, the OP called the police to shut down the party, as they knew that there would be underage attendees.
As their officer friend lived nearby, they arranged for him to attend the house at the same time as the tow truck, which meant the partygoers were torn between coming out to chase the tow truck and risk being cautioned for underage partying or staying indoors and letting their cars be taken away and having a $250 fee to get them back.
The OP believes that her actions were justified, and so far, it seems like they had paid up, as even when the cars returned, they have been parked respectfully. Some Reddit users praised the OP for their sneaky work, with one saying, “That was one atomic wedgie you gave them,” and another commenting, “you’re a better person than most of my neighbors would have been. Week 2 of this would have yielded every tire of their cars knifed and every body panel keyed.”
Others felt their actions were relatively tame and said, “The cameras could have come in handy earlier. The stealing of property, on apparently multiple occasions, could have landed someone in jail.”
The post got a lot of responses as it seems that horrid neighbors are a problem many seem to face, with one reader summing it up by saying, “You’re the hero we strive to be. This is so far above the usual that-happened-my-teacher-was-mean-and-I-got-them-fired story I see on here. Well played.”
