Since I work full-time outside of the home, am a momma, AND maintain my blog, I don’t have a ton of spare time to invest in side hustles. Because of this, paid survey websites are perfect for me as a way to earn extra income. Now, I am not saying this earns me hundreds of thousands of dollars each month, but it does give me a nice bit of side money.
The fact that I can hop on to these paid survey websites while I watch TV or during long car rides or in waiting rooms makes this super convenient for a busy mom.
Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to grab yourself a new pair of shoes or even an entire outfit, without disturbing the monthly budget? Or to pay down an extra $100 on your debt? We all know that it can be really difficult to live paycheck to paycheck and feel like you’re constantly in the red. Imagine being able to spend a couple of hours a week doing some mindless surveys and being able to take just an ounce of that pressure off!
There may be affiliate links in this article. You can read more about this in my disclosure.
The reason I am able to make a couple hundred extra dollars each month from these surveys is because I am apart of multiple sites. Signing up for just one is still great but won’t give you anywhere near the reward potential that you’ll get from signing up for more than one.
There are definitely right and wrong ways to go about participating in survey sites and hopefully the below tips can help lead you in the right direction.
Don’t be afraid of the personal questions during survey sign ups.
When you first sign-up for a survey site or a specific survey, it’s likely you’ll be asked many demographic questions as well as more personal ones, such as your household income. These responses are not blasted all over the internet and they aren’t asked for any reason other than to match you to the correct surveys. If they have a survey open about extremely expensive men’s razor blades, they probably won’t want answers from a female who doesn’t make any household spending decisions. Being completely honest in these surveys is the best way to always get chosen and get the best return on your investment.
Make sure that any survey site you use is verified and legitimate.
There are always scammers and criminals in the world who want to promise you things that they will never deliver on. Be aware of this at all times when you come upon new survey sites. If they are offering you thousands of dollars a month for completing surveys, it’s likely that they aren’t truthful or legitimate. Also, NEVER pay to sign up for a survey site. These opportunities I take are because I GET money for them, not give money. I will never advise you to sign-up for a survey site that requires any type of upfront fee as this is rare and not the case with reputable sites.
In order to help you get started making some side income legitimately, I am going to tell you about 7 survey sites that I personally use and recommend. These sites are all free to sign up and offer great rewards for completing their surveys. Some of these you have probably heard of and some of them may be brand new to you. These are all reliable paid survey websites that will get you that extra spending money with very little effort!

2. Pinecone Research
Pinecone Research is one of my favorite paid survey websites. They are completely legitimate and will pay you in points for each survey that you complete. Sometimes, you may even be sent brand new products to review and provide your opinion on!
3. Harris Poll Online
Harris Poll Online is another favorite company of mine. You will earn points for every survey you complete. Also, if there is a survey you attempt but don’t qualify for, you will still be rewarded with points. Once you have accumulated points, you can redeem them for valuable gift cards suck as Starbucks, Amazon, and more.
4. Survey Junkie

6.Nielsen Computer & Mobile Panel
This is one of the easiest and one of my favorite money making opportunities! This isn’t just a basic survey company. For this one, you install an app on your phone or computer and surf as you normally would. You then earn entries monthly for sweepstakes! They are constantly giving away prizes, a total of $10,000 every single month! You can even register multiple devices to earn more rewards and sweepstakes entries! The longer you have the app installed on your computer or device, the more data they receive which helps them with market research and earns YOU more rewards and prize entries! It’s a win-win!
Since the above paid survey websites are free to use, I recommend signing up for all of them. This will give you the largest income potential!
