A woman had lived in an apartment with her partner for four years and never received a single complaint. When a new neighbor moved into an apartment on the floor below, and the manager began to harass her, she decided that revenge was the only solution.

The woman had lived in apartments for several years and had always been a great tenant. She was respectful of the places she lived in, including the apartment she lived in at the time of the incidents. She’d never had any problems with the manager either.
Silly Complaints
The complaints were petty! The manager visited her several times with complaints raised by the new neighbor and they were ridiculous! One of the complaints was about making too much noise when taking out her wheelie bin. She couldn’t help the noise the wheels made on the concrete, and everyone else’s garbage made exactly the same noise!
Dropping Things from the Balcony
The next time the manager called, she said a complaint had been made about her dropping things from her balcony! What? She had no idea what the neighbor was talking about and started to get annoyed. “Absolutely not!” she told her. The only thing she could think of was that she’d tipped some water over the flowers on her balcony, but that was hardly annoying! Flowers needed watering, right?
Time to Investigate
After the manager left, she decided it was time to see what the neighbor was talking about. Angrily, she went out to the balcony and noticed her flower vase had fallen over. There was hardly any water in it anyway, so no big deal!
The Drama Stops
When things went quiet over the weekend, she assumed that was the end of the complaints. Finally, she and her boyfriend could return to living in peace. She was wrong!
A Nasty Letter
After the weekend, she spotted a notice pinned to her door. It said that she’d incurred a pet violation for not picking up after her dog and she had a $500 fine!
Termination of Lease
The notice also said that she was at risk of having her lease terminated due to the pet violation. She started to panic but also felt angry. However, there was one problem.
A Bunch of Lies
She didn’t own a dog! How could she be accused of not cleaning up after her dog when she didn’t even have a dog? Things were rapidly spiraling out of control, and it was all lies!
A Formal Email
When she’d calmed down, she drafted an angry email to the manager stating, ‘I do not have a dog! Therefore, I will NOT be paying this fine!”
More Complaints
The response came through quickly. The manager said that she had actually received SEVERAL complaints from the neighbors below. The woman was confused, she only had one downstairs neighbor! It had to be the same nightmare neighbor once again!
The Drama Elevates
The complaints stated that urine had come from her balcony, so she was obviously letting her dog urinate outside. And it got worse! Because she’d said she didn’t have a dog, the urine was obviously from her and her partner! Ridiculous!
A Further Violation
The manager went on to say that in addition to the previous complaints, she was still in violation of her lease! How could this be happening? The woman had to laugh at this point, it was all becoming far too comedic!
Time to Contemplate
The woman wondered what she could do next. She and her partner were in violation of their lease for a bunch of things they hadn’t done. They’d been wonderful tenants up to this point, so the manager had annoyed her just as much as the new neighbor!
Out All Night
As she worked night shifts, she knew that her options were limited due to sleeping for a large portion of the day. She suspected that the complaints would keep coming, so she had to think of a plan.
Petty Revenge
Her working hours meant that she arrived home from her night shift at around 2 am in the morning. It dawned on her that she always heard the new neighbor leaving for work at around 6 a.m.
Shaking Things Up
She and her boyfriend decided that they’d start working out at 2 a.m. when she returned from her night shift. While it meant that she could incorporate exercise into her daily routine, that wasn’t the biggest attraction by any stretch!
Noise Nuisance
By incorporating jumping jacks and running on the spot into their 2 a.m. workout, she knew that the neighbor downstairs would be kept awake from the relentless banging on the ceiling! It would drive her MAD!
Termination of Lease
She also decided to let the manager know that she wouldn’t be renewing her lease in the forthcoming December after all the grief she’d given them!
Three Months of Suffering
