Recipe to make these Christmas Llamas:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Grab your sugar and oil and cream together with your mixture. Then, add in your aquafaba (or eggs–again, I was just out of them) and your vanilla extract.

Take your flour and baking powder and whisk them together in a separate bowl. Once done, combine with the sugar mixture that you previously made. Add in 1/3 increments and mix.

Be aware that the dough will look a bit crumbly. This is okay. Just take it and dump it out onto parchment paper (this can’t be skipped!) and work it.

Take the dough and roll it to be about 1/4 inch thick. They really can’t be any thinner than that or they will crack and break.

Take your llama cookie cutter and start to cut out your cookies. Save any of the excess dough and use that to make a triangle for the unicorn corn. (This is the step that turns your llama into a llamacorn!)

When it’s time to move your cookies, don’t try to move them one by one. Instead, pick up the entire parchment paper sheet and move them that way.

Put your cookies in the oven and bake them for 10 minutes. They won’t turn brown just make certain to take them out at 10 minutes.

Let them continue to cool on the parchment paper.

To make the frosting, combine all the icing ingredients and beat on low.

Take 1/6 of the icing and set it in a bowl, then repeat that for two more bowls. (You should have three separate bowls of smaller amounts of icing.)

You’ll have a larger portion of icing leftover, don’t color it. This is going to be the main color for the llamas.

Take one of the smaller portions of icing bowls and add in 3-ish drops of red food coloring. Stir. You’re wanting it to be a pink color. Place in an airtight container once done.

Do the same for the other two small bowls except in one bowl add 3-ish drops of green food coloring and the other 5-ish drops of black food coloring.

Take your white icing from the larger bowl and put in your decorating bag with your smallest round tip.

Outline the outer edge of each cookie except for the area on the back of the llama where the blanket is going to be. Then, fill in the body of the llama and cover the entire area.

This icing will then need to dry for 2-3 hours.

Once dry, take your pink icing and outline the blanket area on the llama’s back. Fill in with the pink.

Keep using the pink icing and make a tiny line inside the ears and a “necklace”. You can even add in some sprinkles for the necklace if you want.

Take your gray icing and make a muzzle on the center of the face.

Allow this icing to dry for 2-3 hours.

Once dry, take your green icing and add on your dots and detail to the blanket.

Then, take a small bit of the edible glitter and mix with a tiny drop of vanilla in a bowl.

Paint the horn and hooves with that mixture.

Allow drying for 2-3 hours.

Take your black edible marker and draw on the face.
