What do you use to shred your cooked chicken?
There are a few ways that you can easily shred up your chicken. You can use forks to shred up the meat or you can actually purchase meat shredders and use those as well. However you decide to do it, make certain that you’re letting the meat cool slightly so that you don’t get burnt and that it will just make it a lot easier to shred as well.
Can you freeze shredded BBQ Chicken?
For sure! This is just one of the many reasons why I love this simple chicken recipe. If you know that you’re not going to have much time to meal prep later on down the road, meal prep right now and freeze the shredded chicken ahead of time.
That way, when it’s time to eat, you can easily unthaw and it’s already cooked and ready to go.
I would freeze the meat without any sort of BBQ sauce on it because that can always be added quickly and easily once it’s ready to serve.
