Homemade Pretzel Bites
These soft pretzel bites are such a tasty treat. They’re one of those recipes that you can just grab and pop in your mouth as you’re walking right on by.
And honestly, we like to make up this soft pretzel bites recipe when we’re running low on time and ideas for dinner. Some days, it’s nice to just grab something fast that we know is going to be an instant win.
The other reason that I’m pretty much obsessed with these homemade pretzel bites is that I love experimenting and dipping them in different sauces. I know, it’s odd, right?
But I think they taste great in butter, ketchup, ranch, hot sauce, and more…and if I’m feeling like a sweet treat, I just dip them in butter and sprinkle on some cinnamon and sugar! (or I might do a little bit of both!)

How many carbs are in a soft pretzel?
Well, we know that pretzels aren’t carb-free. They’re made of dough and that means carbs. (carbs that are totally worth it, I might add!)
Since these pretzels are small, they’re not going to have as many carbs per bite but you also might find yourself eating more of them because of their tricky size.
The reference point for carbs in a soft pretzel is to figure that a medium soft pretzel has 80 carbs. So if it takes 4 mini pretzels to equal a medium-size one, you can do the math to get that carb count!
(But if you’re asking me, carbs don’t count when they’re bite-sized and cute!)
Do soft pretzels need to be refrigerated?
They actually don’t. All you need to worry about is keeping them in an airtight container or wrapping them up tightly in Saran Wrap or in a ziplock bag. As long as you keep the air out, the pretzels should stay fresh for up to 2 days.
If you want to put them in the fridge, you can. But it’s not necessary!
How to reheat soft pretzels
Keep in mind that reheating soft pretzels is a super simple way to soften them back up. If you find that they’ve gotten a bit stale, just pop them in the microwave for a few seconds and warm them back up.
As long as you don’t overheat them in the microwave, they’ll soften up perfectly and be ready to eat!
You can also heat them up low and slow in the oven but this tastes longer and can be hard to gauge.
