Will my sugar cookie base get soggy?

It shouldn’t. The way this recipe is created has been tested and tried many times by myself and I never had an issue where the cookie base was soggy or wet. Just make certain that there isn’t any fruit juice issues coming out of the fruit and you should be fine.

How do I make a cup shape in the sugar cookie?

There are a couple of ways that you can make this happen. Using your thumb is one of the quickest ways but you need to make certain that the cookie is cooled down all the way so that you don’t burn your hands.

The other way is to use the back of a spoon to push down and make the indention in your sugar cookie cups.

Can I use other fruits as a filler?

Sure! You can use whatever fruit that you want. Cherries would be a great choice, as would apples, too. Just make certain whatever you use, it’s softened and bite-sized so that you don’t have to worry about anyone choking on any of the pieces.

What are other cookie dough bases that can be used for these fruit cups?
