Body positivity is something all men and women want to reach, but no matter how hard we try to welcome our flaws, some of us have problems with certain parts of our bodies. One online forum member surveyed men about what parts of a woman’s body they love that many women hate. We’ve put together this list of 18 things that may just shine a light on what men honestly think.
Small Breasts
Many women are self-conscious about having small breasts, believing that women with bigger breasts are more desirable. Men think very differently, though, as some are not bothered by the size of their partner’s breasts. Of course, there will be some men who prefer bigger breasts, but it is essential to remember that everyone has different tastes.
Large Breasts
In contrast to some women being worried about having small breasts, some women hate having them as they get in the way or cause problems when it comes to buying clothes. Many men, however, embrace larger breasts and enjoy this aspect of their partner.
Uneven Breasts
In response to some women being concerned about having uneven breasts, one man said, “Adds character and makes paying attention to each one a separate adventure.”
Mastectomy Scars
In a heartwarming post, one man told of his wife’s struggle with her mastectomy scars but insisted that he will “love those scars until my dying breath because, to me, it means she survived.”
Areolas
This is a concern for many women, with one woman saying, “I have one of each (innie and outie), and it makes me so self-conscious.” Men, however, responded by saying that they loved them regardless of what they looked like.
Cheeks
One man responded to the original poster (OP) that his wife was worried about her pronounced cheeks, but he thought that “she looked gorgeous, I loved to kiss and caress her cute round face.”
Cellulite
One confused man said, “Women will do anything to get rid of it, and I’m just like… you’ve got a nice butt, though.” You heard it, ladies, forget the small stuff and focus on how great your body is.
Stretch Marks
Whether from pregnancy growth or growth in general, stretch marks are a common experience for most women, and many of them really do not like them. Men, however, say that “If I like a woman, I like her whole,” and this means stroking and enjoying stretch marks is a part of their love.
Bottoms
Like breasts, some women think their bums are too big, and others feel they have no bum at all. And, like with breasts, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and men like all shapes and sizes.
Hips
One woman gave hope to others when they said, “I was always very insecure about my hip dips until my boyfriend told me he loved them.” It seems that they are called love handles for a reason.
Down There
As women are becoming more open about discussing their bodies, they are opening up about their parts looking “deformed” or “saggy,” but men say that they embrace their parts no matter how it looks.
Teeth
Many women are searching for the perfect smile and are concerned about overbites, crooked teeth, or too many dental fillings. Despite these hang-ups, men love a woman’s smile and see any imprecation as a sign of uniqueness.
Wrinkles
With the pressure to have surgery or use $200 wrinkle cream, women are feeling distressed over wrinkles that they develop, especially on their faces. One man shot down these fears by saying, “Every wrinkle, scar, extra pound, grey hair, and everything else are all signs of the life we’ve had together.”
Natural Eyebrows
It is difficult to see many women with natural eyebrows as they embrace the enhanced look through the likes of tattoos and microblading. Men, however, seem to miss the natural look and are imploring women to ditch the fake look.
Stomach
The search for a flat stomach is on for many women but men seem to like a little bit of a round stomach in a tight dress. One man said, “That little curve has me weak at the knees when I see it.”
Freckles
One man recalled a time when he complimented two separate women on their freckles, and they were astounded that he found them attractive.
Gray Hair
Many women reach for hair dye when they start going gray, but some men prefer the sophisticated look that it brings and beg women to embrace being natural. One man said there were “bonuses for the thick streaks of gray.”
Nose
Having too large a nose or a slightly wonky nose is something that women are very conscious about but what so many men don’t think twice about.
As one man says, “Pretty much any physical imperfections show uniqueness. Imagine everyone looking the same. Things would be boring.”
