This time of year, people get so stressed out with all of the work they feel like they need to put into everything. Whether they are hosting the holidays at their house or going somewhere to enjoy the celebration.
Although fun, between the gift buying, decorations and all of the baking and shopping for food, it can seem like a lot if you allow it too. Christmas has always been such an enjoyable time of year for me, probably because my childhood memories of Christmas are fantastic.
I remember very distinct family traditions that we hold so near and dear to our hearts. Things as small as how frazzled my mom was every single year trying to prepare a huge family meal before all of the guests arrived; that was something I knew was going to hold true, year after year.
I Avoid The Overwhelm…
As I have grown older and started a family of my own, I have made it a mission to continue to love everything about the holiday season without letting the overwhelm get me down. Baking and cooking are two of my favorite things about the season! While I don’t host every year, we tend to trade off, I always bring dishes, like these Christmas wreath cookies, when I don’t host!
Baking various cookies and desserts for the holidays can be a super complicated nightmare if you let it OR it can be incredibly easy, fun, and enjoyable while still looking extremely impressive. I have mastered the art of baking delicious desserts that look festive and fun while taking very little effort or skill. Yet, I love all of the praise and compliments I receive when I walk into a holiday celebration with these adorable baked goods and in my heart, I know that they are the simplest little things!

What You’ll Need:
What to Do:
1. Prep Workspace to Make Christmas Wreath Cookies
Lay a piece of parchment paper down over your workspace on your countertop or table. This will not only make for an easier clean up but will also keep from anything sticking. Now, melt your green candy melts according to the package and gather together your ingredients.
Next, you want to take your first cookie and dip it into your bowl of the melted green candy melts. We chose to use the Keebler Whoopsy! Cookies for this but you could really use any round cookie with a hole in the middle.
3. Add Sprinkles
Now, as soon as you have dipped the cookie, you want to have your sprinkles ready. Before the candy melts have a chance to start to set, sprinkle the cookie with your Christmas sprinkles. You can use any mix of sprinkles that you like, as Christmas wreaths come in a variety of styles! The small ball sprinkles here are meant to represent ornaments.
4. “Put That Cookie Down!”
Set the decorated Christmas wreath cookies flat on the parchment paper to allow them to set and firm up.

Melt the red candy melts in a bowl, according to the package instructions. ( I just LOVE the smooth, silky look of melted chocolate)
6. Make a Piping Bag
Carefully transfer the melted red candy melts from the bowl into either a piping bag (if you have one available to you) or just a simple Ziploc bag. Try to get the contents to a bottom corner and then cut a small hole in the corner of the Ziploc bag.
7. Finish Your Christmas Wreath decoration
