Is the Windy City about to be Renamed Bedbug City?

Chicago tops the list of 50 cities known to have the worst bedbugs. The annual list, compiled by Orkin, rated Chicago number one for the third year running, one accolade they surely do not wish to receive.
New York moved up one spot from last year’s list, meaning Philadelphia moved down to third. L.A., Detroit, and Baltimore also made the top 10, with Champaign, IL, just escaping the top 10 spots.
Pest control firm Orkin reviews data on all commercial and residential properties they have treated yearly.
Its current list is based on data from December 2021 to November 2022. Youngstown, OH, made the most significant move by jumping up 10 places.
At the same time, the most considerable improvement was seen in Toledo, OH, which moved 7 spots down the top 50.

They are a brown or red color and are usually nocturnal, although you may spot them in the daytime if they are active.
To combat bedbugs, wash all your bedding and clothing on a hot wash (60°C/140°F). You can also use a commercial bedbug spray or rubbing alcohol spray to tackle the areas of infestation.
It is essential to wash your bedding regularly to avoid further infestation. If you are worried about bringing bedbugs into your home after staying at a hotel.
You should check your luggage before leaving and wash and tumble-dry all your clothes when you get home before putting them away in your closet.
