How to make Snowman Cookies

Even though I’m a little obsessed with these easy snowman cookies, I have a feeling you’re going to be as well! Just gather up your ingredients and get ready to get started.

Ingredients needed to make these Christmas Cookies

  • 1/2 C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1/2 C molasses
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 C cold water
  • 3 1/2 C flour
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp allspice

Icing Directions

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla 
  • 3 C powder sugar
  • 1 disposable piping bags fitted with a number 2 tip
  • 1 Squeeze bottle
  • 1 Jar of Wilton Holly Decorations

Recipe to make these easy Snowman Cookies

Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees and using parchment paper to line your cookie sheet.

Next, beat together the butter, sugar, egg, and molasses. Following that, add in your water and mix until combined.

Grab a large bowl and combine the flour and spices. Slowly mix in the other dry ingredients.

Next, roll out the dough onto a lightly floured surface until it’s about 1/4 inch thick.

Take your favorite gingerbread cookie cutter and cut out the cookies.

Pop them in the oven for 10 minutes and let them cool off completely.

To make the icing, mix together the cream of tarter, egg whites, vanilla, and powdered sugar. Keep mixing until you notice stiff peaks forming.

Then, scoop about 1/4 cup of the icing into the piping bag.

With the remaining icing, mix in 2 tablespoons of water to thin it out a bit. Pour that icing into a squeeze bottle and have fun decorating your cookies.
